A search for the airport railroad to Incheon brings up two trains from the same company. They do not stop at the same stations, and they do not use the same ticket. From Seoul Station to Incheon Airport Terminal 1, the express is listed at 43 minutes and 13,000 won for an adult. The all-stop train is listed at 59 minutes and 4,750 won with a transit card. This is not a discount on one shared ride.

The express skips the stations in between
The express route is Seoul Station, Incheon Airport Terminal 1, and Terminal 2. The guide describes the run between Seoul Station and the airport as nonstop. It does not call at Gongdeok, Hongik University, or Gimpo Airport, but it does call at both airport terminals. Seoul Station to Terminal 1 is 43 minutes, and Seoul Station to Terminal 2 is 51 minutes.
You need a separate ticket before boarding. The listed sales points are the express customer centers at Seoul Station basement level 2, Terminal 1 basement level 1 in the transportation center, and Terminal 2 basement level 1 in the transportation center. The introduction lists reserved seats and free use of the Seoul Station city airport terminal among express services. Check that terminal’s own guide for which airlines and time limits apply.
The all-stop train takes a transit card and calls in between
The all-stop timing is 59 minutes from Seoul Station to Terminal 1 and 66 minutes to Terminal 2. The page says some trains take an additional 2 to 6 minutes. On the base times, the all-stop train is 16 minutes longer to Terminal 1 and 15 minutes longer to Terminal 2. Adding the published extra time makes those gaps 18 to 22 minutes and 17 to 21 minutes. This is arithmetic from the posted minutes, not a timed ride on a particular train.
All-stop stations include Gongdeok, Hongik University, Digital Media City, Magongnaru, Gimpo Airport, Gyeyang, Geomam, Cheongna International City, Yeongjong, Unseo, the airport cargo terminal, and both airport terminals. The fare table spells the station 운서, Unseo. Single-use transit cards are sold at station machines. Prepaid cards are sold at convenience stores and vending machines, then charged at a ticket machine.
The adult fares are not two prices for one seat
The express introduction lists an adult fare of 13,000 won. The same line notes a regular fare of 18,500 won for Seoul Station to Terminal 1 and 19,100 won to Terminal 2. The page prints one adult amount of 13,000 won. Only the regular fare is split by terminal. The booking-page fare table shows 13,000 won for a non-member adult and 12,500 won for a member adult. This check did not include signing up or paying.
On the introduction page, the 9,500 won discount cell covers a child, a Korean resident aged 65 or older, a person with a disability registration card, and a person with a national-merit certificate. The page says discounts do not stack. A child is age 6 or older and under 13. Seniors, disabled passengers, and national-merit passengers need an ID or certificate. Partner discounts vary by partner and are online only.
The all-stop fare table is for an adult using a prepaid or postpaid transit card. Seoul Station to Terminal 1 is 4,750 won, and Seoul Station to Terminal 2 is 5,350 won. From Hongik University the card fares are 4,650 won to Terminal 1 and 5,250 won to Terminal 2. A single-use card adds 100 won, and the 500 won deposit is refunded at the arrival station. On the all-stop train, passengers aged 65 or older ride free with an ID or a concession card. That is not the express discount of 9,500 won.
Set 4,750 won next to 13,000 won
For one adult going one way from Seoul Station, the posted figures line up like this. They are not a ticket already in hand.

A single-use card to Terminal 1 comes to a 4,850 won fare, plus a 500 won deposit that the page says is refunded at the arrival station. Subtracting the 4,750 won card fare from the member column of 12,500 won leaves 7,750 won. That member figure was read from the column label only. Which train fits depends on the schedule and whether a reserved seat matters. The express fare includes a reserved seat. The all-stop card fare does not.
Decide where you board before comparing the fares
From Hongik University or Gimpo Airport, the direct ride to the airport is the all-stop train. Using the express means reaching Seoul Station first. That extra ride is not included in the 43 minutes or the 13,000 won. Also check whether the flight uses Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 before choosing the station name. The booking page tells you to match the airline to the terminal.
Express booking closes 20 minutes before departure. Payment is due within 20 minutes of booking, and reservations open up to 60 days ahead. Up to 12 adults and children can be booked together. The gate opens 30 minutes before departure, and you need to be on the platform 3 minutes before the train leaves. Recheck the day on the express booking page and the all-stop fare table.
The order is simple. Confirm the flight’s terminal, decide whether you board at Seoul Station or at an intermediate station, then choose an express ticket or a transit card. Compare 13,000 won with 4,750 won only after that choice is clear.
