The free shuttle between Incheon Airport’s two passenger terminals starts with the direction you are traveling. The bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 and the bus coming back do not share a route number or a boarding gate. Gates 3 and 12 on Terminal 1’s third floor are not the way to Terminal 2.
The figures and screens below come from the Incheon International Airport Corporation shuttle pages on September 27, 2026. The bus was not ridden, the curb was not visited, and no reservation call was placed. Check the gate and the hours again on the day you go. The screenshots are from the English pages. A few details appear only on the Korean pages, and the text says so where that matters.
Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 boards at gate 8
The Airport 04 page says the way from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, or to the Terminal 1 reserved parking lot, is the stop in front of gate 8 on the third floor. The interval is 10 to 20 minutes, and the operating hours are 04:30 to 23:20. The Korean version of the page lists the fare as free; the English version does not print a fare line. Neither labels the closing time as a last departure.
On the English route strip, P5 Reserved Parking comes after Terminal 1 (3rd floor, No. 8), and Passenger Terminal 2 comes after P5. The English stop map labels the Terminal 2 stop 3F Central, near Gates 6–7. The Korean version of the same page lists that stop as gate 6 on the third floor. Both come from the same operator’s route guide, so this article does not collapse them into a single number.
In the full route table, Airport 04 runs AICC, cargo terminal, international business complex, Terminal 1, P5 reserved parking, then Terminal 2. That row’s total time is 62 minutes one way. Those 62 minutes belong to the whole route. They are not printed as the time from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 alone. Boarding at Terminal 1 means the cargo terminal and AICC are already behind the bus.
Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 boards at gate 7
The Airport 03 page says the way from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 is the stop in front of gate 7 on the third floor. The interval is 7 to 20 minutes, and the operating hours are 04:30 to 23:35. The Korean page lists the fare as free. This closing time is not labeled as a last bus either.
The same page gives a separate instruction for Terminal 1 toward the international business complex, Sky Garden, and the cargo terminal: board at gates 3 and 12 on the third floor. Standing at Terminal 1 and boarding gate 3 or 12, when the goal is Terminal 2, puts you on the bus the guide sends toward the business complex. The note about telling the driver before getting off at Sky Garden belongs to that direction.
The summary order for Airport 03 is Terminal 2, P5 reserved parking, Terminal 1, the international business complex, the cargo terminal, then AICC. The route strip places the Terminal 2 garage and the long-term parking stops before gate 7 on the third floor. Someone boarding at gate 7 joins after those stops. Next on the strip is P5, then the east side of Terminal 1 at gate 3, then the west side at gate 12. The floor sketch on the Airport 03 page also shows Terminal 2 near gates 6–7. The boarding sentence says gate 7.
On the full route table, Airport 03’s total time is 83 minutes one way. That is not the time from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 alone.
62 and 83 minutes cover the whole route
The page that puts all five shuttles in one table yields these two rows for the passenger terminals. Airport 01 runs between Terminal 1 and that terminal’s long-term parking. Airport 02 does the same for Terminal 2. Airport 05 runs between the cargo-terminal station and the logistics area. Those three rows do not connect Terminal 1 with Terminal 2.

The 62 and 83 minutes include the cargo terminal, AICC, and the business complex. The pages checked here do not list a duration for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 alone.
The free fare, and the wheelchair note
The Korean Airport 04 and Airport 03 pages say the fare is free. The English pages checked here do not print a fare line for the bus; their only “free of charge” note belongs to the wheelchair lift service. Neither version was found to require a shuttle ticket or an airline boarding pass. The published stop is in front of a third-floor gate. Whether that curb sits outside security was not checked in person.
For wheelchair users, the pages say to call the shuttle bus operations office at 032-741-3217 for a free lift-equipped car. That service is listed from 05:00 to 24:00. The pages recommend booking ahead, because a shortage of vehicles or staff at the time of the call can make the ride unavailable. No call was placed.
This bus is not the airport-railroad ticket
The airport railroad’s express and all-stop trains also call at both terminals. They are not the free bus on these shuttle pages, and they do not use this shuttle’s fare. Express tickets and all-stop transit-card fares are set out separately in AREX to Incheon: the express and the all-stop train do not share a ticket. Those amounts are not copied here.
The order is short. Decide which terminal you are in. At Terminal 1, look for Airport 04 in front of gate 8 on level 3. At Terminal 2, look for Airport 03 in front of gate 7 on level 3. Gates 3 and 12 at Terminal 1 head toward the business complex. Read 62 and 83 minutes as the time for the whole route. Recheck the day on Airport 04, Airport 03, and the complete route table.
