If you want to take your child to see dinosaur fossils in November, start by sorting out which places are open that month and on which days they close. This note groups by region the eight permanent dinosaur galleries open in November 2026, plus one festival and one children's class with November dates, and gives each one's hours, closing days, fees, booking and official link. Afterwards you can pick a place near you and plan around one-off closures, such as the Geological Museum on 7 November, and around the places that are shut in November. Everything was checked on each institution's official page on 25 October 2026; none of it comes from a visit. Dates and fees can change, so check the official page again before you leave.
Two events with fixed dates and eight permanent galleries
The 2026 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo at the Danghangpo tourist resort in Goseong, South Gyeongsang, runs from 22 September to Sunday 1 November, so only its last day falls in November. At weekends it is open 09:00 to 22:00, with ticket sales and entry until 21:00. Admission at the gate is 19,000 won for adults (19 to 64) and 13,000 won for children and teens (36 months to 18), and tickets can also be booked through the ticket button on the expo's official page (enquiries 055-670-7491 to 7493).
In Seoul, the Seodaemun Museum of Natural History runs one session of its event tour "Dinosaur Friends in the Museum", for children from age 6 in kindergarten to grade 1, on Sunday 15 November from 13:00 to 14:30, as part of its November museum tours. Children hear what a dinosaur is, then look for the dinosaurs displayed around the museum and learn about their shapes and features. The class lasts 90 minutes and costs 16,000 won per person. Places were taken first come, first served on the museum website from 15 October, and on 25 October the museum-tour calendar showed this class as closed for applications. Ask the education team on 02-330-8873 whether a place may come up (November programme notice and November museum-tour calendar, both in Korean).

Seoul and Gyeonggi: Seodaemun and the Hwaseong egg fossil site
The central hall of the Seodaemun Museum of Natural History has Acrocanthosaurus, sperm whale, Pteranodon and Tupuxuara corners, and the Life Evolution Hall on the second floor has a section called "Mesozoic, the World of Dinosaurs". From November to February it opens 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays (entry until 16:00) and 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays and public holidays (entry until 17:00). It closes every Monday (the next day if Monday is a public holiday), on 1 January, and on Seollal and Chuseok days. Admission is 3,000 won for children (5 to 12), 4,000 won for teens and 7,000 won for adults; under-5s and over-64s go free. Tickets cannot be booked in advance and are sold on site only (hours, fees).
The dinosaur egg fossil site visitor centre in Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong, is the visitor centre for the natural monument Hwaseong Gojeong-ri Dinosaur Egg Fossil Site (designated 2000) and offers a film and a wooden boardwalk through the site. The boardwalk is closed when it rains. The visitor centre's visitor information page and the city's tourism page both give 9:00 to 17:00, or 10:00 to 17:00 in winter, without saying when winter starts; the front page of the visitor centre's website shows only 09:00 to 17:00, Tuesday to Sunday. It is open Tuesday to Sunday, closes on Mondays, and admission is free. The official pages that could be read list no booking for individual visits, and a talk by a culture and tourism guide (10:00 to 17:00) is booked on 031-5189-3805. If you plan to arrive early on a November morning, call that number to check the opening time.
Daejeon and Gongju: two free galleries and one that also closes on Tuesdays
The Dino Hall in the Natural History Hall of the National Science Museum in Daejeon displays dinosaur skeletons and explains their features. The Natural History Hall's exhibits also cover two dinosaurs whose skeletons were found in Korea: Koreaceratops hwaseongensis from Hwaseong and Koreanosaurus boseongensis from Boseong. It opens 09:30 to 17:30, a visit takes about 60 minutes, and it closes every Monday, on 1 January, and on Seollal and Chuseok days. The Natural History Hall is one of the free halls, so there is no admission fee; booking and tickets are needed for the three paid halls, such as the planetarium, and for hands-on activities in some halls. The Dino Hall's special exhibition "K-Dinosaur Reboot" ended on 30 June (visitor information).
The central hall of the Geological Museum at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) in Daejeon is themed on dinosaurs and displays specimens such as Edmontonia, Tyrannosaurus, Maiasaura, Stegosaurus and dinosaur eggs. It opens 10:00 to 17:00 (entry until 16:30), charges no admission or parking fee, and takes bookings only from groups of 20 or more. In November it is closed on the Mondays 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and also on Saturday 7 November because of a power cut for an electrical inspection (visitor information, notice of the 7 November closure).
The Korean Natural History Museum in Banpo-myeon, Gongju, has a "World of Dinosaur" exhibition. It opens 10:00 to 18:00, closes every Monday and Tuesday, and opens on public holidays. Admission is 11,000 won for adults (18 to 64), 8,000 won for school students and 6,000 won for infants from 12 months; over-64s and national merit holders should ask the museum for their fee. Tickets are sold on site only, and parking is included in admission for visitors. Photography is not allowed in the galleries except on the first floor (visitor information).
Mokpo, Haenam and Jinju: egg nests and fossil tracks
The natural monument Sinan Aphaedo theropod dinosaur egg nest fossil (designated 2012) is in the natural history building of the Mokpo Natural History Museum. The museum opens 09:00 to 18:00 (entry until 17:00) and closes on 1 January and every Monday (the next day if Monday is a public holiday). Admission is 3,000 won for adults, 2,000 won for teens, 1,000 won for primary pupils and 500 won for kindergarten children aged 6 and over; over-64s and children up to primary age who live in Mokpo, among others, go free. Tickets are sold at the museum entrance (visitor information).
The Haenam Dinosaur Museum presents the natural monument Haenam Uhang-ri Dinosaur, Pterosaur and Bird Footprint Fossil Site (designated 1998). The museum describes the Allosaurus in its dinosaur gallery as a genuine fossil, and it shows footprint fossils in three protective buildings. In the ornithopod building you can see 263 dinosaur footprints. It opens 09:00 to 18:00 (entry until one hour before closing) and closes every Monday. Admission is 5,000 won for adults, 4,000 won for teens and 3,000 won for children (5 to 12); under-5s, over-64s and Haenam residents go free. Paying visitors get 50% of the admission back as Haenam local gift vouchers (not when the refund is under 1,000 won). No individual booking is listed; the 4D theatre costs 3,000 won extra and is not open to children aged 3 and under (visitor information).
The Jinju Pterosaur Tracks Museum is mostly about pterosaur tracks rather than dinosaurs. Pterosaurs were winged reptiles related to dinosaurs, but they were not dinosaurs. The museum shows real footprint fossils of animals from about 110 million years ago, found during construction of the Jinju Innovation City, including raptor and other meat-eating dinosaur tracks. The museum presumes that the pterosaur that lived in Jinju was Dsungaripterus, and the Dsungaripterus bone fossil on display is a replica. In November too it opens 10:00 to 18:00 (entry until 17:30), and it closes every Monday, on 1 January, and at Seollal and Chuseok. Admission is 2,000 won for adults, 1,000 won for teens and 500 won for children (7 to 12); over-64s and children 6 and under go free. Only groups of 20 to 40 book (visitor information).
Before you go: places shut in November and what to check
Some well-known dinosaur places are shut in November. In Goseong, South Gyeongsang, the Goseong Dinosaur Museum and all its commercial facilities are closed for remodelling from 1 January to 31 December 2026 (subject to the construction schedule); the trail and sea caves of Sangjogam county park remain open (county notice). The exhibition hall at Bibong Dinosaur Park in Boseong has been closed since 21 October 2026, when its operation ended (Boseong County tourism page). The Gyeonggi Bukbu Children's Museum in Dongducheon is fully closed until 9 November for work on its first floor and a revamp of its permanent Dinosaur Forest exhibition, and after reopening on 10 November it runs only its second-floor gallery for about a month. Full operation is expected around mid-December, so the Dinosaur Forest is unlikely to be open in November (closure notice).
For the other eight places, four checks will save most wasted trips.

From the official pages on 25 October 2026, not from a visit.
The surest approach is to choose one place and, the day before you set off, look at its official notices for any new temporary closure. Where a page leaves something open, such as when Hwaseong's winter hours begin, one phone call is the quickest answer.
